Please help with couple problems with client

Question

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to fix some problems with my client but my brain fried a couple days ago trying to make this work. What am I'm missing for having the client completely translated into english? I'm using the 2013-12-23 client patched with NEMO and Alejandra's data 4.0 folder. Everything is in English except for the tooltips on the minimap icons and the items names and descriptions.

 

Also, why could be the reason my client crashes when I @go prontera? the bar stops at 3% for a couple seconds and then "stopped working". Nothing else. I know it should have something to do with the textures but I don't know where to start looking.

 

BTW it happens in both my local and linux server both running latest hercules.

prontera - just download that file and add it to DATA.INI or extract and merge into your grf, when you extract it every file will be in their proper location already

is your kRO fully updated? are you using any custom prontera by any chance? have you tried using this prontera? and for the first problem I recommend you to use files from this post instead of alejandra one since that one is very old already

Yes, everything is fully updated.

 

Regarding thhose prontera files... where should I put them? Merged with my GRF? Where inside my GRF exactly?

 

And for the data folder... where can I get the newest one?

EDIT: Putted the new GRF inside my client folder and called it from DATA.INI. The bar now loaded 100% but an error window poped up saying "ReadAnimatedEmitterIn..." and the description "attempt to call a nil value"

 

After I close that Msg box I am in Prontera but disconnected from the server

Gonna try the new data ASAP :D

 

For the prontera crash, it is still giving me the error mentioned above but it let's me log in and walk... lemme see what happens after I swap the data folder



BTW I have a question I really don't know the answer. Should I only use the new data folder to create a new GRF or also place it on my kRO folder uncompressed?

when you are in the editing process you should have everything uncompressed so you can edit "on the fly", but when you feel like everything is ready, just compress into a grf file and go ahead

Hmmm... just figured my menu (when pressing ESP key) is in korean... but items are ok... WTH? lol

Thanks but not having luck with it. As suggested above, I used that whole Data folder for my new GRF and it included the texture folder already. In the post for that folder they are talking about using Unbolloxiser to convert from Corean but all I get are arrors. Could that be the problem? Bad file names?

Don't use unbollox,

Use grf editor and directly add all files yo grf,

 

Note: the first grf loaded should be of translation grf...
