  1. It's not for commercial use. Playerbase would probably be low. And first of all, I would need to find people who could help me do this. I am just testing the waters.
  2. It would function as a custom private server. SO I don't see a problem here. Just everything heavily customised.
  3. We would start as a "compact" version of RO. Small world-map, 6 classes, low item pool and extend from there.
  4. Hello Everyone, Is there any developer interested in starting "a new MMO" project based on Ragnarok client and Hercules/rAthena? What I would like to do is: * Initially only 1st classes available. Progressive addition of 2nd and 3rd jobs. * Redesign all stats and their effects on the character * Redesign all skills - Skills would function differently in PvE and PvP/World PvP. All monsters would be "Brute" race, and all players would be "Demi-Human". Every skill would have different function when used against "Brute" monster, and when used against "Demi-Human" player. Elemental system would probably stay the same. Maybe with a minor tweak. * Redesign items * There would be almost no NPCs, No quests. Addition of a sandbox feel to the game. * Redesign monsters' stats * Redesign monsters drop - Every character class would have access to a "Craft" skill which would allow them to create any item in the game if they had needed ingredients. All equipment, consumable items and cards would be craftable and not obtainable through monster drop. Monsters would drop the ingredients. They would be split into only a few items so the crafting system wouldn't be overly complicated.- it would be something like Crafting Material I, Crafting Material II, Crafting Material III, Crafting Material IV, Crafting Material V and Crafting Material VI. On top of that, every monster would drop essence item with about 1% chance e.g Poring would drop Poring Essence. These would be needed to craft equipment items. On top of that, players would gain a certain amount of zeny for slaying a monster. * Redesign monsters spawn * Redesign available/accessible maps * Redesign world map incorporating Faction PvP, for example Lighthalze being a capital city of one faction and Prontera the capital city of another faction. All maps around these cities would be newbie zones and the maps farther would be higher level maps. I would love to implement 3 or 4 different factions if we could fit them all in the RO's world map reasonably. That's just a base idea. I would like to create something fun, easy to understand and instantly enjoyable for every type of gamer. Something a little bit different and new in the RO world.
