The skill will stop casting if your target moves out of range or you get knocked back by the effect of Cicada Skin Shedding, whereas all the other targetable spells will go off no matter how far away from the target you are when the spell finishes casting. Also; if you successfully cast Kamaitachi, it hits not only every enemy that's standing between you and the target (which is the way it's supposed to work), but also enemies behind the target, up to all the way across the screen and even enemies behind walls (which as far as I know ain't how it's supposed to work).
The owner of the server I play on claims it is working as intended, whereas random people on other forums that are apparently reporting from official servers claim otherwise.
