my 2nd most outdate revision, 12068 Trunk, already having this problem
normally, pet walking speed should be configurable in pet_db.txt in Speed field
and if the pet can't keep up with you, it should run towards you, and continue walk slowly
however, dunno since which revision, ( even in 12068 trunk )
now pet walking speed ...
if you walk slow, it still walk with you slowly
however if you let the pet behind too far, it will always 'run', even it is just besides you
this has make a lot pet lovers (not me) don't want to feed their poring anymore (IMG:
style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
poring walk slowly is cute, poring 'run' not cute at all
I also tested on revision 9909 stable, its behavior was correct
so it must be broken between 9910~12068
