The setting "mob_clear_delay" was implemented in
r2187, to combat "the problem with monster sprites still appearing after it died", by introducing a small delay before the mob death packet is sent.
In
r5707, when the "unit_data structure merge from jA" took place, all code that referenced this config setting was wiped out. Which means we've been using a bogus setting for some ~6000 revisions now.
I remember one recent server where I still saw the abovementioned client glitch happen (monster would die, then immediately do 1 walk action, then keep standing there). Strangely, on other servers this doesn't happen (on mine it was occuring around r5000, but stopped afterwards).
Now, what to do with this? Remove it, assuming there's no problem anymore? Reimplement it?
