Console Won't Work On Windows

1. it doesn't run on socket fd 0 (or so I hear), unlike unix
2. you can't do select() on it (or so I hear)

any plans for this thing?

EDIT: not only does it not work, it also drives the servers into a strange cpu-hogging loop, without any indication what's wrong.
