On eAthena the behavior of the weight limit is wrong. On eAthena if an item would exceed your weight limit it'll drop at the ground. For example if you use Arrow Crafting on a Matchstick and you only have room for 1500 weight, then all the 10000 Fire Arrows will drop on the ground. Same happens if you don't have empty slots left.

On officials it's supposed to be like this:
1. Your weight CAN go above 100% weight, you can still get items from skills and npcs. They will never just drop on the ground.
2. If your weight is 100% or higher you can't pick up items on the ground. If picking up an item makes your weight go above 100% it will fail as well.
3. If you are given an item (this ONLY includes trade and MVP reward) that will make your weight go above 100% it will drop on the ground.
4. Arrow Crafting can only be used when you're weight is below 50% and you still have 3 free item slots. Otherwise it will say that the skill has failed. So even if you are not above 50% weight it might fail because you don't have 3 free item slots left.
5. NPCs usually check for the weight themselves, if there's no weight check you can still get the items when weight is above 100%. It will not drop on the ground. What happens when all item slots are full however still needs to be tested (I asked Doddler to test it).

Aegis X.4 says: If you can't carry the item, you get "You cannot carry the item because you would be over your weight limit", and the item disappears permanently.
On eathena the item drops on the ground.[/quote]
