I dont really know if this should belong here, sorry if it should not, but:
The npc (...custom/sign_your_items.txt) needs some checks for rented items.
When you rent an item and try to sign it, the npc takes away rented item and gives you same item but with no expire time.
So the player can have it as much as he likes.
