Lag Spikes

Hello,
anyone knows why i'm having some lag spikes on my servers using the latest trunk with no ping time out and having normal server loads please ?
I had no problem before in stable :s

Edit: for my part i'm running under a quad phemon 2.2 ghz, 8gb ddr2 100 mbps, we've just reinstalled mysql and optimized my.cnf to match our server's specs and we're still having those lag spikes every 5 minutes.
Mysql goes up to 60~170% cpu usage for around 10 secondes and using trunk 13451.
I have no idea what the server is doing to mysql to be able to give us a lag spike, do you have any idea ?
I don't recall what was the previous server trunk revision 1 month ago day for day because i'm pretty sure this problem happened between 1 month ago & r13451. (using the latest version doesn't solve the problem)
