Current Mental Strength's behavior in eAthena is wrong!

In official servers, the +90 hard def bonus from MS bypasses the def-reduction you get while being attacked by several monsters, even though your vit def will still suffer the penalty. Basically, using MS in Aegis servers you are still able to mob a large quantity of mobs without taking much damage, and this has actually become a way of leveling; people normally go to heavily mobbed maps such as Juperos and mob an insane amount of monsters, and kill them through autocasting (or even using a wiz or any other killer in a party).

In eAthena, the bonus def you get from MS gets reduced as the amount of monsters attacking you increases, which makes it basically useless for mobbing, while on officials it's the most commonly used technique to handle large mobs.

I can confirm by my own experience having played a champion in bRO in a friend's account around a month ago.

You can use this video as a reference too (it's from euRO apparently): Defense reduction test. You can clearly see that even though heavily mobbed by familiars, the damage the monk takes decreases from ~25 to a constant 2 after casting MS.

Also, for more proof you could check this topic in iROwiki: Mobbing increases damage intake?. There are mentions of this behavior in posts #12, #36 and #37.

Edit: Found another video to confirm it (also from euRO): Dark Lord shoes leveling. You can see starting around 0:56, a monk using Mental Strength getting mobbed by Venatus, but only taking ~50 damage.
