I can't confirm if this exists in official servers but it definitely does not seem intended:
A paladin surrounded entirely in ice walls casting Grand Cross will deal no damage and no skill animation is shown, nothing happens at the end of the cast other than the paladin taking the "20% of current hp" penalty (however not the holy damage to self, even without holy armor equipped). It behaves almost like the skills fails but still takes a damage penalty instead of just dealing no damage as a different AoE attack such as storm gust would when cast inside an ice wall barricade.
Can anyone confirm if this is intended or present on official servers please?

as a former crusader in iRO i can confirm this is how it works in aegis as well.
