Negative stats causing overflow on 64 bit

So, we're running eA on 64bit right now and a player reported to get 65k-something LUK when equipping Death Note.
After a while we figured out it's because the user had 1 base LUK and the Death Note gives -20 LUK, causing the LUK to be a negative value -> overflow -> LUK was maxed out at 65k-something.

Same thing happens with any item that gives a negative stat bonus like Succubus Card, when having a base dex of 2 or lower. Also happens with something like a Mineral Card (-25 ATK). Even when having 50-ish STR and 170 ATK, it still overflows and gives me 65535+0 ATK.

Any way this could be fixed?
