When a character is stripped by a monster, sometimes the equipment will come off, but the effect will not remain. The gear can be reequipped immediately. This seems to happen all the time on my test server. (revision 14408, but it's been happening for a while) Sometimes this happens when stripped by other players. I've had an instance of this on a private server when I beat a SinX with a LK. The SinX was using a Drill Katar, but I could put my stuff back on after I was stripped.
