It seems the Thanatos Quest on eAthena is entirely outdated, as evidenced by both this irowiki page: http://irowiki.org/wiki/Thanatos_Tower_Quest

and very clearly in this video from Doddler:

The quest has significantly changed since it was implemented in eAthena, these changes are drastic and probably important since they change the mechanics of how you can access the top floor (for example you no longer need 4 people for the blue key, and also do not need to return to the bottom to exchange keys for charm stones).

Any confirmation or fix for this would be great.

This indeed outdated since it got changed on Ep 13.1 and I never got around to translating it. If you want to translate it from chinese, take a peak at the attachment.
