Ok, here is the problem. I think it either needs to be fixed, or the option must be deleted i guess.
Problem is:
If you change that setting to a higher value, the server might accept that. It might be normal that the client displays friend numbers like 45/40 friends in the friend list.. I think thats client side. But i'm not sure about /hi.
If a player has more than 40 friends in his list and uses /hi, he gets that "player is offline or doesnt exist" message for every player on the list > 40.
Sometimes it even crashes the player doing /hi, and as i heard, sometimes the players recieving the /hi message too.
