This is a strange one, working on latest version,
To replicate this, @item yourself 1 red potion, 1 yellow potion, and 1 blue potion (works with consumables, not sure about etc/equips).
First, drop the red potion to the ground. Then, pick it back up. Then, try to drop the yellow or blue potion from your inventory.
On my client, 04/10/2012, it doesn't allow you to drop anything after picking up an item until you do one of the following:
a.) Move to a different cell
b.) Drop an item that has more than 1 in quantity (in other words, the input box appears for the quantity to drop)
