I have received a question about hp draining cards like Incantation Samurai Card and Spirited Guitar.
The issue there was, that even though the item killed you, the hp damage timer kept going, and once you respawned, it was possible to die again the next second.
EDIT: detailed test shows that on aegis the timer also keeps running while you're dead.
After testing on aegis my assumption was correct... these items are unable to kill you, they just leave you with 0 hp.
An associated issue is that items that cause hp loss when unequipped are also unable to kill you, they leave you with 0 hp which quickly changes to 1 hp.
